Embrace your Life

Like the sun that rises,

And storms that roar,

Are your smiles and laughter,

Your tears and sorrow.

Like a torch of blazing fire,

And a wall of solid bricks,

You light my path, my life and days

And shield me from all my pain.

As my soul has searched,

As my heart has pined,

Here you are,

Whole and fine.

To two these words belong,

Both my Saviours, Worlds and Joy,

One came 20 centuries before,

The other came but a hundreth of one.

One my Father whom I cannot yet embrace,

One my Life, right here right now,

So my Life, you I will hold,

Till the day I must let go.
